Our January 2014
Welcome to our first monthly recap!
After starting publishing the weekly recaps in our blog we realised that it's an excellent way to get our lazy asses to update the blog. So why not add a monthly recap? This way way can also share some more cool pictures with you, since the weekly recaps include only Instagram photos.
So, how has the first month of 2014 been to us? Can't complain! We started the year in New Orleans, finishing a great 2,5 weeks of house sitting and taking care of a lovely set of pets. New Orleans was fun, although surprisingly cold. We were then very excited about getting Mexico, not only because of the warmer weather, but even more because we had spent the last seven months in countries familiar to us. We were definitely ready for some exotic adventures!
Mexico appears to have been a good choice. We've so far very much enjoyed our time in here. Our original plan was to do many Latin American countries during this spring. Then we narrowed it down to Middle-America. Now it seems that our 3-4 months is just about enough time for visiting Mexico and maybe one another country around here...

In the blog
We started publishing weekly recaps from the beginning of the year.
In the Week 1: New Orleans and Cancun, we were still enjoying our time as temporary home and pet owners in New Orleans. We manage to sneak in quite many sight seeing adventures for this last week in NOLA. Then we headed to Mexico, a long-waited adventure.
Week 2 was spent in Merida, mostly working and getting to know this lovely city.
Week 3 brought a dear friend for a visit and some much needed time off for us. Eating out, visiting museums, enjoying life!
Week 4 started with the Mayan ruins of Uxmal and more of Merida, before heading to the tiny beach town of Chicxulub.
At the beginning of the year we recapped 2013, our first year as digital nomads in 3 posts:
